ACUPUNCTURE
The first acupuncture treatment with a new patient starts with an extensive intake to understand your unique ecosystem and goals. From our conversation, I create a treatment plan that is uniquely catered to you. This visit is 2 - 2.5 hours long and includes an hour long conversation as well as the first acupuncture treatment.
This medicine brings your system into harmony with your truest nature of health and vitality so you can live the life you want to live with authenticity, freedom, and ease.
5-Element Acupuncture's effectiveness is due to it's approach in treating each individual. There is no standard treatment and no person will receive the same treatment plan. Acupuncture sessions are catered to your distinct constitution, history, reason's for seeking support, body systems, temperament etc... I diagnose the root cause of the internal dis-ease that is causing your symptoms to bring your system back into harmony where health, healing, and joy are present. Each visit is powerful at healing from the inside out.
5-Element Acupuncture treatments are cumulative. After you have done an intake, it is most effective to receive treatments weekly or biweekly for the first month depending on the severity of your symptoms. We will start to spread treatments out farther apart as you improve and become more stable. Eventually, only the occasional tune-up is necessary.
Qi
Qi is described in Traditional Chinese Medicine to be an ever-flowing breath of natural energy that flows in the body much like blood would flow through our veins. We are energetic bodies.
Qi is an energy that sustains life and heals. It is an energy that connects the outer environment to our inner environment. It is at the intersection of the body, mind, emotion and spirit. Qi is the way that our thoughts effect our physical function and performance, the way that movement positively affects our mind, and the way that an emotion resonates into our posture. When our qi is flowing freely, our innate healing force is available and we move through the world with greater ease.
As qi flows and is used in the body, it is channeled through various meridian points that each have a specific role. Our lifestyles and daily encounters effect our qi flow; what we eat, how we exercise, injuries, stress, sleep, our environment, relationships, emotional trauma, etc...
Where health is equal to the free flow of our energy, dis-ease is the stagnation of flow.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do you take Insurance?
A: Unfortunately I do not take insurance at the moment. I have created package deals for all of my offerings as one way to bring the price down. If price is still a major block to you receiving treatment please reach out and we can discuss options.
Q: Why did you become an acupuncturist?
A: I was first introduced to acupuncture during a bout of insomnia as a kid and then again in college. My sleep improved immediately both times. After that, I knew there was something special to this medicine. I started to pick up acupuncture texts as I got more curious about the energetics that I was discovering while giving bodywork. After a few books I knew that a life of studying this ancient system was a worthy way to spend my time and to become the best healer I could be.
